Assistant Restaurant and Accommodations Manager

*12 Months Maternity Leave Cover

An exciting opportunity to join the team covering our current Accommodation and Assistant Restaurant Manager for maternity leave. With the opportunity to join the team fully due to expansion in the next 12 months also.

Start Date June 2024.

Working Hours are day time:

7:45am – 5pm Wednesday – Saturday

8am – 11am Sundays.

40 Hours per week.

Role:

Overseeing the daily management of the business and any junior team members working at House of JÖRO to make sure all guests have a positive experience during their stay, helping market the hotel to the public, and directing the services offered at the hotel, such as meetings and events.

· SALES

· Taking bookings and cancellations, either by phone, email or face-to-face and managing all information on the reservations system, working with our Reservations Manager.

· Corporate and PDR Events. Scheduling, advertising and executing events.

· Promoting and handling reservations for private dining experience. Package price promotion and executing the experience from start to finish.

· Social media Marketing of the venue to drive revenue & brand acknowledgement. Including working with leading marketing platforms/industry leaders. Working with Sales and Marketing manager.

· Developing and promoting small/medium sized events at the restaurant & hotel with respect to hospitality networking and training programmes.

· Ensuring that reservation capacity is maximised.

· Ensuring that on site sales are encouraged, via snacks, drinks & JÖRO merchandise.

· GUEST EXPERIENCE & UPHOLDING JÖRO BRAND STANDARDS

· Checking in guests, allocating rooms and handing over keys/access codes. Greeting guests if necessary.

· Answering questions about hotel facilities and about local transport, places of interest and entertainment. Developing and keeping up to date commercial digital advertising within the hotel.

· Dealing with special requests such as taxi bookings or JÖRO reservations.

· Answering the phone and dealing with the email and mail enquiries.

· Checking out guests, adding up their bills and taking their credit, debit card or cash payments.

· Resolving & Passing on any guests’ problems to the appropriate member of Senior Management.

· Communicating with guests to gain feedback, keeping up to date with reviews on all platforms (Google, Trip Advisor, Social media)

· HOTEL OPERATIONS

· Responsible for stock levels and stock recording at the hotel (Laundry, Bathroom toiletries, Mini bar/Food & Drink) Checking back housekeeping.

· Responsible for scheduling and liasing with sub-contractors. Eg; Laundry, House Keeping, Security & Fire, Maintenance.

· Breakfast Service at House of JÖRO 8am – 10am Communicating and working with JÖRO head chef to deliver brand standard of continental breakfast.

· Monitoring, Upholding & Reporting Site Maintenance (Building, Equipment, Furnishings & Fittings) to Directors.

· RESTAURANT OPERATIONS

· Customer service focused delivery of tasting menu lunch service 12pm – 5pm.

Working alongside the team to develop service and drinks offering.

· a smart appearance – Uniform smart/casual unless working in Restaurant JÖRO

Skills:
– Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
– Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers, staff members, and vendors
– Solid understanding of culinary techniques and food production processes
– Proven experience in team management within the hospitality industry
– Knowledge of bartending techniques is a plus
– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Salary: £26,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
