We are recruiting for a full time 48 hours a week Sous Chef position available at JÖRO. This is a unique opportunity to join the team at an exciting time too.

In Summer 2024 Restaurant JÖRO will move to a new venue, currently under construction and not far from the current venue.

We are expanding our team and currently have a Sous position available, for a candidate who enjoys or would like to pursue a role in a tasting menu only kitchen. Working with the very best produce and ingredients we can get our hands on. Our new venue will feature a brand new custom built kitchen ready to take JÖRO to the next level.

JÖRO was created by Luke & Stacey back in 2016 and has gone from strength to strength in its current home. JÖRO has gone on to be awarded many accolades and features in all guides, Top 100 Restaurant lists in the UK, as well as European recognition in the OAD lists. Our team are proud of their achievements and deserve every success from their passionate and dedicated attitudes.

We encourage no waste and sustainable approaches to cooking and our team are passionate about their development of this. Our recently opened retail concept SHÖP encourages this too with cross over of produce.

Our food is all about flavour and we take huge inspiration from Eastern Asian cooking techniques and produce as well as from the Nordic regions.

Our team work around the sections in the kitchen, learning and mastering each area. We tend to fix sections for a few months at a time, then change to encourage both personal and team growth.

Our Week is Wednesday – Saturday, Our Chefs work 4 Days with rotating early finish times, all meals included, company wide discount and plenty of team trips, award ceremonies & events. 5 weeks Holiday, including Christmas. Salary starting at £30,000.00pa. Service charge is a Tronc system and shared in full with the team monthly.
