Cool-climate wines meet small-batch soft British cheese for an evening exploring what makes this pairing work so well.

Over the course of the evening, you’ll taste a flight of four distinctive wines from cooler wine-growing regions, selected for their freshness, acidity and character. Each will be paired with one of the soft cheeses made by Primrose Creamery on the Welbeck Estate.

Jake from Primrose Creamery will guide you through each cheese, sharing how they’re made, the milk and people behind them, and how their flavours develop with the seasons. Alongside Jake, Oliver will guide you through the wines, exploring why cool-climate styles work so well with Primrose’s cheeses – looking at acidity, texture, fruit and balance without getting too technical.

Your ticket includes a guided tasting of four 100ml wine pours, a selection of Primrose Creamery cheeses, Crumb Bakery sourdough, cultured butter and seasonal accompaniments.

The tasting takes place around the communal tables in the JÖRO bar, keeping things intimate and informal, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions, talk wine and cheese, and discover a few new favourites.

Please note: Due to the nature of the event, dietary requirements cannot be catered for.

Perfect for cheese lovers, wine enthusiasts or anyone interested in discovering how cool-climate wines can completely change the way we think about wine and cheese pairings.
