Description
Coming from a third generation family winery, Marchese di Borgosole originates from Puglia, the “heel” of Italy’s boot. Steeped in winemaking tradition, the region boasts sunshine-drenched vineyards and a dedication to indigenous grape varietals. Salice Salentino is a DOC wine from the Salento peninsula and one of the most sought after wines from this region.
Meaning ‘black and bitter’, Negroamaro wine is typically deep in color, with spicy, earthy accents and substantial tannic structure and this example is no different. This particular expression is a Riserva, signifying stricter production regulations and extended ageing, resulting in a wine of greater complexity and depth, after 2 years of ageing in barrel.
