Assistant Restaurant Managers

Permanent Full Time positions available.

An exciting opportunity to join the team as we relocate our award winning restaurant to Oughtibridge Mill, this Autumn.

Start Date November 2024.

Working Hours are 44 per week.

Restaurant Open: Wednesday – Saturday.

Role:

Overseeing the daily management of the business and any junior team members working at JÖRO Oughtibridge Mill. Leading exceptional services alongside restaurant manager and assisting in delivering KPI’s alongside senior management team.

· SALES

· Taking bookings and cancellations, either by phone, email or face-to-face and managing all information on the reservations system.

· Corporate and PDR Events. Scheduling, advertising and executing events.

· Promoting and handling reservations for private dining experience. Package price promotion and executing the experience from start to finish.

· Social media Marketing of the venue to drive revenue & brand acknowledgement. Including working with leading marketing platforms/industry leaders. Working with Sales and Marketing manager.

· Developing and promoting small/medium sized events at the restaurant & hotel with respect to hospitality networking and training programmes.

· Ensuring that reservation capacity is maximised.

· Ensuring that on site sales are encouraged, via snacks, drinks & JÖRO merchandise.

· GUEST EXPERIENCE & UPHOLDING JÖRO BRAND STANDARDS

· Checking in guests, allocating tables or rooms and handing over keys/access codes. Greeting guests if necessary.

· Answering questions about restaurant & hotel facilities and about local transport, places of interest and entertainment. Developing and keeping up to date commercial digital advertising within the business.

· Dealing with special requests.

· Answering the phone and dealing with the email and mail enquiries.

· Checking out guests, adding up their bills and taking their credit, debit card or cash payments.

· Resolving & Passing on any guests’ problems to the appropriate member of Senior Management.

· Communicating with guests to gain feedback, keeping up to date with reviews on all platforms (Google, Trip Advisor, Social media)

· Monitoring, Upholding & Reporting Site Maintenance (Building, Equipment, Furnishings & Fittings) to Directors.

· RESTAURANT OPERATIONS

· Customer service focused delivery of tasting menu service.

Working alongside the team to develop service and drinks offering.

· a smart appearance – Uniform smart/casual unless working in Restaurant JÖRO

Skills:
– Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
– Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers, staff members, and vendors
– Solid understanding of culinary techniques and food production processes
– Proven experience in team management within the hospitality industry
– Knowledge of bartending techniques is a plus
– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Contract length: Permanent

Starting Salary: £28,000.00-£33,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Supervising experience: 1 year
  • Restaurant management: 1 year (preferred)
