Rook en Spieëls, Kabbelend

Description

Produced in the Coastal region of the Western Cape, Rook En Spiels have been producing wines as a collective since the early 2000s buying fruit and wines from various growers in the region as a hobby.

Organically-farmed cinsault that is sourced from vineyards planted in the early 1990’s, on the border between Paarl and Swartland. 

With little rainfall and early harvest, these concentrated grapes deliver aromas of red fruit and spice while its whole-cluster fermentation gives it a backbone. The juice is then pumped back over the cap (the grape solids that have risen to the top of the ferment) to extract colour and freshness enhancing the red fruit flavours and crispness, and the result is a super drinkable wine.
