Join us on Friday 15th November for a collaborative drinks masterclass with Sam Boulton & our restaurant manager Oliver Kaviani. Oliver and Sam will take you on a journey through koji influenced drinks, giving you an insight into one of the most asked questions at JÖRO, ‘what is Koji?!’ and most importantly… how to use it!
Samuel Boulton, a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry. His expertise and creativity have earned him national acclaim, including victories in prestigious cocktail competitions. Samuel is also an accomplished author, having penned two influential books: The Vermouth Ambassadors Guide to Modern Drinking and The Art of Mixing Koji Cocktails, which have become essential reads for enthusiasts and professionals alike.
In 2023, Samuel’s cocktail bar, The Pineapple Club, achieved significant recognition, being named the 14th best cocktail bar in the UK. This accolade is a testament to his innovative approach and dedication to excellence in the craft of cocktail making.
Expanding his horizons, Samuel recently launched a successful Japanese events company, through which he passionately promotes the culture and appreciation of Sake and Shochu across the UK. His commitment to spreading knowledge and love for these traditional Japanese drinks is making a notable impact on the beverage landscape in the country.
Hosted at SHÖP which is above Konjö in Kelham Island, this event is super limited with only 12 seats available per session. Nibbles will be provided alongside the drinks.

Sittings are available at 5pm or 9pm with 3 hours allocated to this experience.
