Description
Georgiev & Milkov wine project came to life thanks to the long time friendship of two oenologists, Petar Georgiev and Radostin Milkov. Their vineyard established in 2014, focuses on showcasing indigenous Bulgarian varietals.
The grapes for this Pet-Nat come from 70 year old vineyards in Thracian Valley, one of Bulgaria’s oldest winemaking regions. This part of the country has ancient winemaking traditions dating as far back as 4,000 BC. In fact, the Thracian Valley is even claimed to be the birthplace of Dionysus, the ancient Greek god of wine.
This wine is a blend from different vintages, some years they leave the skins in contact for around one month and age for one year in oak and other years there is no skin contact at all.
